OUR SIGNATURE PROCESS

We work together to provide your organization with wellness and improved self-care tools.

01 Healing

When we work with participants in our workshops and training, they experience Healing, Transformation and Impact in the following ways: Healing - when you are un-stifled by old wounds or bad experiences from work and life that impede your creativity and productivity you are able to experience freedom, passion and joy to create. Healing means receiving the "aha moments" through experiential exercises and interactive discussions that can promote a lifting of blocks or barriers to freedom of expression.

02 Transformation

Once barriers are lifted or decreased individuals and groups feel a sense of transformation. Transformation of thoughts, feelings and actions that align with better outcomes both personally and professionally. The result is great joy and productivity in their work and personal life.

03 Impact

Once individuals and groups have experienced healing and transformation, they can now make an impact in their families, communities and society as a whole. This impact can improve home and workplace outcomes and the creation of initiatives, projects, or movements that improve the lives of self and others.

  • PROVEN SUCCESS

“ When I notice one good thing about a student like maybe they got something they didn't get before or maybe I caught them being compassionate, I can believe in them for the next time! ....I realized from our sessions that the quality I had of being super self-critical which I thought was helpful to me, wasn't completely constructive without a balance also of the good... Thanks again. This practice I think is going to shape my whole career in a very positive way and also outside of my career.”

    — Nicole - Teacher, NYC

  • PROVEN SUCCESS

“This was just what I needed, and this was wonderful.”

“I feel much more grounded and calmer now.”

“Thank you for a great presentation.”

  • PROVEN SUCCESS

When I signed up for the Vision Board event I expected a pleasant social gathering with goal-oriented individuals. What I didn’t expect was that this would be a life changing experience where I would walk away with the knowledge, tools, images, and connections that would bring forth the best year of my life…Some of the goals that came through this last 8 months include expanding my family through increased income, furthering my education by being accepted into a doctoral program with a competitive scholarship, and a happier marriage. This investment went far beyond one event, and I would encourage anyone to participate and be open to this process.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY…

“The trauma that manifested in the bodies, words, and spirits of our littles ones had to come out and, as educators, we held space for them. Our roles as educators and community workers meant that held space for our students so that they could engage with their academic growth. Many of us -- educators at Heketi Community Charter School -- grew up in Mott Haven or in neighborhood similar to it. Many of us had our lives impacted by systemic racism, economic poverty, and other similar forces that we saw affecting our students and their families. As a school leader, I had to hold space for the educators who were experiencing secondary trauma and/or re-experiencing their past traumas. I reached out to Cindy and Ancy to partner with us and create a healing-centered environment at Heketi Community Charter School. They offered work that would center the self-care and healing of the educators in the school, so that we were better able to hold space and offer care for our students. Their work as educators meant they understood our roles and positions in working with students and each other on a daily basis.”

“I stepped in as the School Director at Heketi Community Charter School in August 2017. Part of my work was to infuse new practices across the school focused on data and curriculum as well as focus on our partnership with our students' families and the surrounding community. As the team and I collaborated through the 2017-2018 school year, we were met with the impact of trauma in our students' lives.“ Much of the trauma that impacted the realities of our Kindergarteners through 5th graders could be traced back to system dispossession and marginalization that had shaped life in the Mott Haven neighborhood in The Bronx for decades. Our students' and their families' life opportunities were being shaped by systemic racism, economic poverty, state surveillance vis a vis police and immigration officers, and nutritional scarcity, to name a few forces.”

“Throughout the 2018-2019 school year, Cindy and Ancy met with us to work through scenarios, unpack big ideas and theories, and create action steps that would sustain our healing and well-being and that of our students and families. With love and kindness, Cindy and Ancy held us accountable to the work and held us as we made sense of the new perspectives that were developing. Many of us used their ideas and tools in between their sessions, and continued the work in the following school year. In sum, Cindy and Ancy brought their whole selves to the work and modeled what healing and self-care could look like in a sustainable manner engaging in the daily work as educators.”

- David R. Rosas (él/he, lo/him), Former School Director at Heketi Community Charter School and current Principal at the Castle Bridge School (PS 513M)
